Jason Marchiafava is a hand engraver by profession. He was originally trained using "hand push" style engraving. Later evolving into pneumatics was a logical step to engrave in steel.

Jason is one of a very few engravers in the U.S. practicing traditional Italian style bulino engraving at an expert level and the youngest practicing engraver ever to be awarded "Professional Status" with the Firearms Engravers Guild of America. Currently Jason is working on some of the largest and most elaborate gun engraving commission in the U.S. ranging from 800-1000+hr projects.

Jason offers short training sessions one on one by appointment on
intermediate to advanced hand engraving techniques using a Lindsay Classic and/or hand push gravers.

Training includes:
-Beginner Inlay, Advanced Inlay/Overlay Techniques.
-Scroll Design/ Advanced Scroll Design and Engraving.
-Exhibition Grade Shading Techniques
-Traditional Italian Bulino Line and Dot Techniques

Cost: Donations welcome
Supplies are students responsibility to order and bring.
